Do You Use Your Hand To Talk?

My receptionist sms me this morning to say that her hand is swollen and can't move. She said she is going to the doctor and will let me know what the doctor said. I replied her, as a receptionist, you use your mouth to talk not your hand. Your legs are ok, you can walk and take a bus to work. Later on, she informed me that her doctor gave her 2 days MC, because she tore a muscle on her hand. I told her, it is only one hand, not two hands, she can use the other hand to pick up the receiver. She said the more she use the other hand, that hand will be numb. She also mentioned that she has tonsillitis. But she was yelling over the phone at me. Sigh!
She actually applied a leave earlier on Tuesday, but because her MC also fell on Tuesday, she asked for her leave to be moved to Wednesday. I told her no, it is disruptive and she will be gone for 2 days and to have the substitute to sit there for the 3rd day, it will be unfair. She got mad and accused me of not understanding the Malay wedding custom and she didn't let me argue back, asked me to "Shut Up!" and she hung up the phone. I sent her a sms telling her that it was very rude of her to ask me to "Shut Up" and hang up the phone. She called back later to say she didn't hang up but her phone battery was dead. I scolded her - doesn't mean i am a chinese I don't know Malay wedding custom. She didn't even apologise for asking me to "Shut Up". I gave her a warning letter for being rude.
